How and where do I complete the application form?

Click on the APPLY button. This will take you to the CFCI Bible College “EDU-PORTAL”. (This is the online Portal that will be used for the application).
I have a Bachelors degree from another university– can I get Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at CFCI Bible College?
The degree must be a 3 or 4 year ministry or Theological Bachelors Degree from a recognized institution. Submit the RPL Application form with supporting documentation on the Edu-Portal and pay online the fee of R500. The International Registrar will notify you of credits awarded.
No incomplete application for RPL without the correlating application fee will be entertained.
I need to do the online entrance test – what is in it?
It is a Basic English literacy test common to many South African universities.
The English literacy test is necessary to ensure that you will be able to cope with the level of English required for lectures and research assignments.
What if I cannot apply and register before end of January?
Unfortunately, no late registrations will be accepted once the registration period has been closed.
Once capacity per campus has been reached, no further enrolments will be accepted by the faculty and these students will have to wait for the following annual intake.
FAQ’S: OTHER LAUREATE CAMPUSES
Can I study for my Postgraduate degree at any other CFCI Bible College campus?
FAQ’S: COMPUTER/ LAPTOP/ TABLET & WI-FI
Can I use my own computer/ laptop or tablet and is there free WiFi?
Free WiFi with limited download capability will be available in common areas, but not in the Lecturing Venue i.e. mall area, so the student is encouraged to purchase a dongle with their own data subscription.
There is no WiFi connectivity in the actual class venues.
A student is more than welcome to use their own personal computer, laptop/ tablet/ IPad device to take notes in class.
A student making use of their own computer:
is asked to sit on the edges or at the back of the class closest to the power sources along the wall only
is to bring their own extension cord
The device you use must also have sufficient storage space available to be dedicated for the use of studies i.e. all information, video clips, reading material, etc.
Edu-Portal online access is only required for students to research, type and upload their assignment. However in class a notepad, pen and class participation is more than sufficient.
Failure to be able to download or access material posted on the Edu-Portal for a specific module, is unfortunately going to impede the student's progress. The student is responsible to ensure downloads posted prior to classes commencement, are downloaded before they arrive for the lectures.
What if I do not know how to use a laptop/ tablet or Edu-Portal ?
Do not apply. No IT (information technology) support or Learning will be provided by the faculty on basic hardware usage.
What about Online Edu-Portal ?
For assistance with the Edu-Portal, students may in their own time to work through the online Edu-Portal.
Learning specific to what the Laureate student needs in order to successfully upload their assignments as well as to retrieve their mark on a specific assignment will be provided at the compulsory Induction/ Orientation Learning.
If a student cannot attend the Induction/Orientation because of an honest emergency they may contact the Dean or Support Manager to set up a personal meeting.
If I cannot attend a course in one block, may I attend it in another when it is repeated?
No course can be partially attended and caught up in the next block. Attendance will be monitored and no CD’s or DVD’s are available for students to catch up at home.
Students more than 30 minutes late for the first session of a new module will be regarded as "absent" for the whole module so punctuality is required.
Students will be asked to “book their classes” online via Edu-Portal in order to secure their seat at one of the two classes provided for Prescribed modules. This will be done on a first come first book basis. Limited seats are available to each class so once a class reaches their maximum capacity then the reminder of students will be scheduled to attend the other available class.
Should a student have an emergency and not be able to attend the class they were booked on, they are to notify the Dean in writing immediately so that they can be invited and booked on the next class, should there be another during that year to attend. If not, then owing to the lack of attendance on that module the student will most likely need to redo this module in the year to come.
Will my application fee be taken off the registration fee?
No. The application fee is a non-refundable fee. (If unsuccessful, the application fee is not refunded.)
If your application is successful the registration fee will immediately become due.
Where can I register or hand it in and what must I pay
In order to APPLY to enroll on Silver or Gold Laureate, the non-refundable application fee of R600.00 will have to be paid on Edu-Portal.
Once application has been successful, the student will be notified either via e-mail or sms.
In order to then REGISTER as a Silver or Gold Laureate student, the registration fee of R 1 250.00 is to be paid via Edu-Portal.
The COMPULSORY Induction/ Orientation is a Learning session for registered students only.
May I attend class if my fees are not up-to-date
Yes, you may attend class. However your Edu-Portal access will be blocked.

FAQ’S: REPEAT A MODULE/S STUDENT
As a “repeat” student I have paid the registration fee in order to register myself as a student in this New Year but I have not filled in a new application form, what happens now?
The only way that a student will have access to Edu-Portal is by going on the Bible College Website http://www.cfcibiblecollege.org - click on the tab Titled “Adv Biblical Studies” and then click on “Silver Laureate” or "Gold Laureate" (whichever applies), then on ‘EDU-PORTAL’ in order to complete the Application form again. There is a widget named : Repeat Students, you will use that specific one.
